After your Tonal is installed, you’ll be prompted to create an account, enter your payment details, and agree to Tonal’s Terms of Service to activate your membership.

All Tonal purchases require a 12-month initial commitment term. After the initial term, your membership will continue to be charged each month, and you can pause by contacting our support team at (855) 698-6625 or cancel through your Account on Tonal under ‘Membership’.

Tonal Membership is required for the first 12 months. As a connected fitness system, Tonal is designed to be your intelligent home gym and the Tonal membership unlocks the personalization that is the key to Tonal’s intelligence. It’s essentially what makes Tonal more than just standard strength training equipment.

In addition to our ever growing workout library, the membership unlocks our intelligence features such as progress tracking, personalized weight suggestions, dynamic weight modes, the ability to design and save custom workouts, and so much more. It helps take the guesswork out of strength training by optimizing every workout for you!

Yes. After the 12-month initial term, you can pause your membership by contacting our support team at (855) 698-6625.

Cancellation is available after the 12-month initial term. You can cancel through your Account on Tonal under ‘Membership’ or by contacting our support team at (855) 698-6625.

If you cancel the membership after the initial 12-month commitment period, you will lose access to Tonal’s intelligence and personalization features as well as the workout library, but you would still have access to basic Tonal features:

• Basic Lift with the ability to increase/decrease the weight
• Safety features such as turning the weight on/off via the Smart Handles and Smart Bar
• WiFi settings for receiving software & firmware updates

Your Tonal membership can only be active on one Tonal at a time. However, you can use the same membership if you live in multiple places throughout the year and want Tonal installed in each location. You will be prompted to deactivate your Tonal at your primary residence when you sign in to the Tonal at your secondary residence. If you want both Tonals active at the same time, you will need two separate memberships.
